Video answers let employers see your communication and people skills — the things a CV can never show. They are optional, but strongly encouraged, because they help you stand out and improve every match that follows.
How it works
- Open the Video Q&A section — you can record answers to up to three questions.
- Pick a question from the list, or use the 'Change question' option to swap it for one that suits you better.
- Record your answer to camera. Each answer can run up to a few minutes, and you'll see a countdown as you approach the limit.
- Save your answer to upload it.
Tips for a strong answer
- Find a quiet, well-lit spot.
- Keep it natural and specific — a real example beats a rehearsed script.
- You don't need to use the full time; say what matters and stop.
| Good to know Your video stays private until an employer advances you to their review stage — it is only ever unlocked when there is real interest in you. See 'What employers can and can't see about you'. |
